Kerrville transportation Center
Hamilton & Associates, as part of an architectural and engineering project team with Heartwood Architects and Builders, provided environmental assessment and architectural services for the new Kerrville Intermodal Transportation Center.
The clients, who included the Alamo Area Council of Governments, the Deitert Senior Citizen Center and the Kerrville Bus Company (a subsidiary of Coach America), envisioned the project to provide a connection point for intercity bus services, senior transit vans, local passenger cars, and taxi services. The project also represented an opportunity for the return of the Kerrville Bus Company, founded in 1929, to its original home city.
The design includes a new terminal building with waiting area and canopied bus drop off area, parking for cars, motorcycles and transit vans, signage, landscaping and is designed for future expansion.
