plaza 71 office complex
Plaza 71 was an existing office complex dating from the late 1970’s or early 1980’s. The owner, a real estate investment and management firm, approached Hamilton and Associates to update the building exterior in order to improve market position.
A previous renovation had partially enclosed the existing stone columns in a heavy stucco overlay. The update included removal of the heavy stucco guardrail to open up the façade, admit more light into the interior, shift from a horizontal to a vertical emphasis, and restore the stone columns to prominence. A new stucco fascia created a consistent datum line around the building, while the updated color scheme emphasizes the exterior stonework and creates a hierarchy of advancing and receding planes.
As part of our ongoing relationship with the owner, Hamilton and Associates also provided interior design / tenant finish services to the building tenants..
