Puerta Sul (South Portal)

Queretaro, Mexico

Capitalizing on cross-border industrial and manufacturing experience as well as architetcural licenses in both Texas and Mexico, the South Portal planning project employs a sustainable approach to a new business park in Queretaro.

Budgetary considerations and programmatic requirements allowed for the use of tilt wall construction and high albedo (white) membrane roofs in the majority of the facilites as well as the future implementation of solar systems. Seperate office structures also explored the use of green roof technology. The business park exalts the use of regionally sourced building materials with high recycled content as well as energy efficient lighting, plumbing and mechanical systems.

The entire complex will meet the Industrial Park Mexican Standard of Industrial Parks NMX-R-046-SCFI-2005, which aims to provide certainty to manufacturing companies to operate in favorable conditions within an industrial park.
